After the 24 Day Challenge

AdvoCare Challenge Days 11-24, and ONWARD

I get asked all the time about what to do after the 24 Day program.   I strongly recommend sticking to the program for at least 90 days. The most important two ingredients to stay on are the MNS packets and Catalyst. If you like the Meal Replacement Shakes I recommend continuing those for breakfast, but if not please keep your protein levels high in the morning.

So, every fourteen days, open a new MNS box and repeat days 11-24, in a nutshell.

Optionally, add in ThermoPlus and take when you take your Catalyst (Catalyst – three, twice a day on an empty stomach) I take Catalyst and ThermoPlus with my “before breakfast” and  “before lunch” packs from the strip pack.

If you are continuing to lose, you may add fruit to your meal replacement shake in the morning.  Feel free to use a meal replacement bar for lunch when you are in a hurry and can’t get the proper lunch.

Please refer to the Lean in 13 program for a more stringent continued weight loss plan.

Every 90 days, you can repeat the cleanse. I make this, and MNS strip packets in-between cleanses, a habit, and have never put the weight back on.

Be sure you are exercising.  Do some form of cardio at least 3-5 times per week, and strength training 2 -3 times per week. The AdvoCare 24 minute workout video is a fabulous resource.

24 Day Challenge Days 11 – 24
Here are SPECIFIC instructions for DAYS 11 – 24 and beyond.

If not using Thermoplus, Catalyst, or Slim simply omit those from your directions below.
MNS, Shakes, Catalyst, ThermoPlus, Slim, Spark:
(1) Metabolic Nutrition System (MNS) – purple box
(2) Meal Replacement Shakes – purple box
(3) Catalyst – purple bottle
(4) ThermoPlus - purple bottle (optional)
(5) Slim – regular or caffeine free, OR Leptilean (optional)

As soon as your feet hit the floor in the morning:
1st MNS color pack + 3 Catalyst + 1-2 Thermoplus. (OPTIONAL).  Washing down with Spark is great … wait 30 minutes, then drink your Meal Replacement Shake (mix with water)!

With either Breakfast or Lunch, on FULL stomach:
Take BOTH MNS WHITE packs that say “with a meal”

2.5-3 hours After Shake

10 grams or more protein and 30 or fewer Carbs (Breakfast Bar is great here)
30-45 minutes before lunch, on an EMPTY stomach:
2nd MNS color pack + 3 Catalyst  + 1-2 ThermoPlus (AGAIN, OPTIONAL)
… wait 30 minutes, then eat something with protein  (10 or more protein/30 carbs or fewer)

2 hours later

Drink a Slim if needed.  Feel free to take 3 more Catalyst here

2.5 – 3 Hours After Lunch (30 minutes after Slim)

Please Note:
1 – Spark – drink as needed on an EMPTY stomach (if possible)! Keep in mind that mental fatigue is what causes us to snack and eat high sugar/fat foods. Spark will keep you out of the “not necessary” eating zone.

2. ThermoPlus (trim line) provides more energy, fat burning, and speeds up results. Every 2 capsules burns an extra 300 calories approximately , and Thermoplus can easily be added into your Breakfast and Lunch portion of vitamins. Just remember: Start with ONE capsule at a time.

3 – Your MNS color “before meal” packets and your Catalyst must be taken on an empty stomach to work. “Empty” means you haven’t eaten in the prior 1.5 – 2 hours.
4 – If you don’t eat after the MNS packets or wait more than 30 minutes, you may not feel a smooth energy. Please eat 30 – 45 minutes after the MNS packs!!!

5 - MNS C will provide stamina and endurance energy.  If you find you’d like more energy, then bump up to the Max E version (more energy!).  You can also use the Max 3 version (more mild on energy and appetite control.)

6 – Please don’t skip meals and snacks!  Eat every 2 to 3 hours a combo of NO LESS than 10 grams of Protein, and NO MORE than 30 Carbohydrates. If you go longer than 4 or 5 hours, your body will be stubborn about “letting go” of stored fat because it thinks you are trying to survive a famine :) This starvation response is very strong… so even a small amount of calories in Spark is a great way to tell your body to let go of body fat and stay out of the starvation response!

7 – Water water water! At least 10 cups per day…. 12 cups would be SUPER!

8 – Okay, the really fun topic…. We have a saying, “If it’s not coming out, it’s not coming off.” We have probiotics to add to your regimen if you are even slightly constipated. This is pretty easy to fix even in the most stubborn digestive tracts, so let me know if we need to fix that. :) Your digestion is definitely linked to metabolism and overall health/energy, so we have to take care of this piece too.   PLUS, 70% of your immune function begins in your digestive system, so needless to say, a healthy body is a direct reflection of your GI health!

Some people lose inches FIRST and some lose pounds FIRST… everyone is different. The most important thing is that you are taking your products correctly, daily, and that you are drinking and eating throughout the day!

    • No, but it is easier to keep using some of the products as they help with portion control. I use MNS C and Catalyst daily still, after two years, because it includes all the essential vitamins I need for the day along with probiotics and omega 3, and it really helps me immensely with portion control. And of course, we choose to drink Spark instead of soda and coffee. As with anything the bottom line is, calories in vs. calories out. The products simply help keep you healthier and really aid in making you desire the right, healthy choices in food.

  2. I am on day 2 and I am confused. I am doing Spark and the fiber drink and the herbal cleanse and following the meal plan but I am NOT doing the meal replacement shakes. Some places I read say I should be drinking them now and others say not tell day 11? Can you please help? I didn’t get Catalyst, should I start it?

    • It simply depends on the area of the country, and your advisor. It seems as though many of us in the Midwest believe that having that morning boost of equal carbs and protein in the 220 calorie Meal Replacement Shake starts your calorie burning faster. Catalyst is optional – it is my favorite product, however, and protecting that lean muscle tissue is crucial in boosting your metabolism. I highly recommend it as an add-on.
